We recommend the Gorillamobile 3g/3gs flexible tripod for capturing great video. It is small, light and allows you to record video quickly and easily without help from anyone else. Just wrap it around your golf bag, clubhead, golf cart frame, or set it on ground like a tripod…the possibilities are endless.

If you dont have a Gorillamobile tripod yet, have a friend record your golf swing or record video by standing your golf bag and use your golf towel to support the iphone upright while recording video (it takes a little practice).

TIPS

• Hold the iphone as still as possible and get square with front of swing or down the line
  when shooting video.
  
  
• Recording with subject in good lighting allows crisper images when frame advancing through swing.
  
  
• We suggest portrait orientation of the iphone when recording golf swings.
  
  
• If it’s a longer clip (although we recommend shorter clips), use scrub through to find beginning point.
  
  
• You can delete folders or clips from within folders and it does not delete the video from the vip library.
  
  
• If you delete a clip from the all vip video library it deletes the clip and deletes it from the folder if its in one.
  
  
• You can also use the iphone3gs native video camera and import and trim video from the camera roll-or use the vip recorder which automatically places video in library and folder (if you’re in one), and in the order of date, time taken.
  
  
• Use slow motion on playback to get to beginning of swing, touch frame advance or slow motion again to pause video.
  
  
• To avoid inadvertently drawing a line or circle when trying to select an object to edit, turn the line or circle tool off before you select the object.
  
  
• You can leave the lines and circles with the video and go back and record or view other videos, when you come back to the same video the lines and circles will still be there and be editable.
  
  
• Using the double tap to hide/show top controls is very useful when you need to see more screen or do a quick edit.
  
  
• Touching the still camera button saves image without annotations. If you want to immediately save a screen shot to the camera roll with annotations included, simultaneously press the home button and the sleep/awake button on top right of the iphone. These screenshots will not be included in the vip library.
  
  
• You can flip the phone vertically in either direction and the screen will rotate vertically also.
  
  
• You can trim video that you import into the Video Instruction Pro app. If you need to trim a clip recorded from with this app, export it to camera roll from the playback screen actions folder, and then trim it.
  
  
• We have optimized this application and custom controls to play video forward, allowing you to scrub back into video if you need to. If you need to frame advance in reverse, just capture as many images as you like while in playback and frame advance forward or backward in the image viewer. You can also hide/show the controls in the image viewer by tapping the screen, and just finger swipe forwards or backwards to go through images.
  
  
• If you need to view notes from the playback screen, just tap the text button at the top and view notes or make changes to them. Notes are also updated on the individual cell view of the video.
